OWL Explorers™ empowers second- through fifth-grade learners to explore health and wellness through engaging, age-appropriate health literacy education. Designed for primary school youth, the program builds on children’s growing curiosity and independence by helping them develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to better understand health information, practice healthy behaviors, communicate effectively, and make healthy choices.

OWL Explorers™ provides education aligned with the National Health Education Standards. Through engaging learning experiences, online lessons, video-based content, and educator resources, OWL Explorers gives schools a flexible way to invest in primary school students’ health literacy, helping young learners build a strong foundation for making healthy, safe, and informed choices as they continue to grow.

OWL Explorers gives schools a practical and flexible way to strengthen health literacy during the primary school years, helping students build the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make healthy choices.

What Schools Receive
  • Group Online Access — Flexible access for participating students and educators to engage with OWL Explorers as part of the school’s health and wellness education efforts.
  • Engaging Video Lessons — Age-appropriate, interactive learning experiences that help primary school students explore important health and wellness concepts.
  • Teaching Guides — Educator resources designed to support lesson delivery, reinforce key concepts, and extend learning beyond the video lessons.
  • Curriculum Integration Support — Flexible resources that can complement existing health and wellness education while supporting alignment with the National Health Education Standards and local curriculum goals.
  • A Standalone Program Option — Schools may implement OWL Explorers independently. Purchase or participation in OWL Cadets is not required, allowing schools to select the program that best meets the needs of their students and grade levels.
What OWL Explorers Explore

OWL Explorers helps second- through fifth-grade students explore the knowledge, skills, and everyday choices that support lifelong health and wellness. Through engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences, students move beyond simply learning about health to developing the skills to understand health information, communicate effectively, make informed decisions, set goals, and practice healthy behaviors.

The program brings together key areas reflected in the National Health Education Standards and relevant Florida Health Education standards available through CPALMS, creating a standards-informed approach to building health literacy during the primary school years.
